Bond and coupon registers, 1871-1901.

The series contains registers of bonds and coupons which were issued, cancelled, consolidated, or destroyed by the Treasurer's Office from 1871 to 1901. The purpose of the bonds was to redeem the floating indebtedness of the state. A large portion of the $100 denomination bonds was purchased for the state educational funds (the school fund, the seminary fund, and the agricultural college fund).
